Deadly specks assembled
Swarms of matter mutated
They are becoming
 
Thieves of thought
Interrupting, disrupting
With rampant indifference
Silent intruders
Stealing a life
 
Undone
By their greed
Soon, they will overwhelm
Victorious, yet defeated
They have hollowed you
Slowly, viscously
Pale and drained
Husk-like countenance
Mocking in its absence
As Winter to Summer
Beauty conceded
Frozen in memory
