A Sliver of Silver
14 November 2020
Morning moon a precise and beautiful sliver
of silver in a grey sky
The sun’s reflection from elsewhere
a pink cloud, lower, late autumn
Winter sky gazing, first morning thing
after tasks, regular, glowing with monotony
Silver moon glow and pink sun cloud
like a stage set for life to appear
But this is life in all its gay glory
after this the day will descend into doing
and these shades of perfection
lighting up the sky, strike a note, a clear bell
ringing in the fog of approaching winter
