Luca Pinelli is a doctoral student in Transcultural studies in the humanities at the University of Bergamo, Italy, in cotutelle with Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. His doctoral project concerns the intersections and resonances between Virginia Woolf and Simone de Beauvoir, with a specific focus on intercorporeality and the (auto)biographical subject. Prior to starting his PhD, Luca earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from St Peter's College, Oxford, and a laurea magistrale(2-year Master of Arts) in Modern, Comparative and Postcolonial Literatures (English & German) from the University of Bologna, Italy. His research interests include Oscar Wilde and the English fin de siècle, English modernism, women's history and feminist theory, queer theory, and radical writing.
