Dr Ann-Marie Priest is an Australian literary scholar and biographer. Her book My Tongue is My Own: A Life of Gwen Harwood, the first biography of the renowned Australian poet, won the 2023 National Biography Award and the 2024 Magarey Medal in Biography. Fiery Tales, her edition of the correspondence of Gwen Harwood and her longtime musical collaborator, composer Larry Sitsky, will be published in late 2025. Ann-Marie is also the author of two books of biographical essays: A Free Flame: Australian Women Writers and Vocation in the Twentieth Century, which was highly commended in the 2016 Dorothy Hewett Award, and Great Writers, Great Loves: The Reinvention of Love in the Twentieth Century. She is a senior lecturer at Central Queensland University.
