Camilla Knox-Peebles is Chief Executive of Amref Health Africa UK and serves as a Trustee on the Boards of two corporate foundations. She has over 25 years of experience working on humanitarian, international development and global health issues with a particular focus on women and girls. Throughout her career, she has consistently championed issues affecting women and girls and worked to amplify their voices. Camilla is a member of the Steering Committee of Groundbreakers, the UK network of women charity Chief Executives.
She has lived and worked across Africa, Asia, and Europe and holds a degree in Social Anthropology with Indonesian Studies, alongside an MSc in International Health.
Camilla is currently researching and writing her first book examining the lives of four generations of women along the maternal line of her family—largely unknown histories spanning 120 years in Indonesia. The book will explore themes of power, empire, gender, and voice.
