Margaret Peacock, Ph.D., MSIS, is an Associate Professor of Russian and Middle Eastern History at the University of Alabama. Her research focuses on the international history of Cold War propaganda and media. She is the author of four books and many articles. Her most recent monograph, Frequencies of Deceit: How Global Propaganda War Shaped the Middle East (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2025), explores the history of international radio in the Cold War Middle East. At present, she is working on a global history of Cold War libraries.
