Research Network Skills Seminar: ‘The Case of the Rockefeller and Ford Archives: The Archivists as the Key to Our Castle’

A seminar series with Dr Victoria Phillips, Columbia University

Drawing upon examples from the Rockefeller and Ford Archives, Victoria Phillips’ hybrid session offers practical strategies and insights to help navigate and unlock hidden treasures for life-writing research.  Working with the Rockefeller Archive Center and Marissa Vassari, this session will focus on the funding of the atomic bomb, exploring how archival records shed light on this pivotal historical moment.


Preparatory Reading:

Participants will be sent compulsory preparatory readings after registration closes at 7 pm on 4 March. Attendees joining in person are encouraged to bring their own laptops.


Speaker Details:

 

Dr Victoria Phillips (Columbia University) is the author of Martha Graham’s Cold War: The Dance of American Diplomacy and is a Visiting Scholar at OCLW. She is also a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC, where she co-directs the Cold War Archival Research Institute.
